Abstract
The purpose

Junior High School. Validity and reliability were the two kinds of
characteristics of a good test which were analized. The categories of validity that were analyzed were content and construct validity.
This study was analyzed by using the descriptive method. Descriptive method was used to draw purely the
condition of each variable. Content validity was
analyzed by comparing the materials in syllabus to the items of the test and
construct validity was analyzed by comparing the materials in syllabus to the
items of the test. While the reliability was analized by using Kuder Richardson
Formula (KR20).
The results
of the study showed that the English National
Final Examination 2012 for Junior High School was valid and realiable. Content
validity showed 100% valid and construct validity showed 100% valid. While the
reliablity showed 0.89, and based on the
interpretation of reliability coefficient based Sudijono

Final Examiation has fulfilled the characteristics of a good test.
As additional information, it was found that the
allocation of the materials was not balanced. Particularly for the allocation
of the skills, both materials and indicators, reading was dominating 96%. While
the others, writing 4%, listening 0 and speaking 0. So from the result of the
